Civilianz MAZE is a state-level inter-college engineering quiz platform conducted annually as a flagship initiative of the National Engineers’ Day Celebrations. Created for students eager to explore engineering beyond the classroom, MAZE promotes technical knowledge, analytical thinking, teamwork and healthy competition among engineering students across Kerala. Since its inception in 2019, MAZE has successfully completed seven editions, bringing together students, engineering institutions, academicians, working professionals and leading technical organisations. Beyond the quiz competition, its Showcase Events provide young talents with opportunities to express their creativity, innovation and unique perspectives. The eighth edition, MAZE 8.0, forms an integral part of the National Engineers’ Day Celebrations 2026. For the first time, the competition will expand into a multidisciplinary platform welcoming students from Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Four zonal competitions will be conducted across Kerala, with the leading teams advancing to the Grand Finale. As part of the celebrations, MAZE 8.0 will also feature MAZE Professionals, an exclusive quiz competition for working engineers. A series of Showcase Events will further celebrate creativity, innovation and talent within the wider engineering community. MAZE 8.0 will have the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) as its Academic Associates. The National Engineers’ Day Celebrations will be organised jointly by Civilianz and Swadeshi Science Movement (SSM), in association with the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), Association for Engineering Professionals (AEP), Energy Conservation Society (ECS), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Association of Engineers Kerala.
